Our Mission

Dr James Westmoreland

A Patient-Centered Philosophy

My approach to orthopedics is unwaveringly patient-centered, and always underpinned by clear communication. Whether you are dealing with an athletic injury or arthritis, you will have unique concerns, wishes, and goals for the future.

You should feel empowered and able to take an active role in your own treatment plan. At Westmoreland Orthopedics, we will listen to and address your concerns with empathy, because you deserve to feel informed and included in your own healthcare decisions.

I understand that for many, surgery is a last resort, which is why I always consider conservative treatments first. Where possible, I will give you multiple options, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each approach.

Where surgery is necessary, you can expect to be walked through the entire process from start to finish, from pre-operative evaluation to expected post-operative recovery. Our mission is to make the process smooth, transparent, and in turn, less daunting.
